Former participant of Big Brother Naija season 7, Chichi, has taken legal action against Phyna, another contestant from the show, by filing a lawsuit seeking N100 million in damages for defamation of character.
The lawsuit comes in response to a series of allegations made by Phyna against Chichi during the recently concluded Big Brother Naija reunion. Gistreel.com had previously reported on these allegations.
During the reunion, Phyna engaged in a heated argument with Chichi, hurling insults and derogatory remarks at her. Notably, Phyna resorted to age-shaming Chichi by referring to her as a "mother of two with one abandoned and one dead." Additionally, Phyna accused Chichi of poisoning a friend while they were in Cyprus before returning to Nigeria.
Chichi has engaged the services of her legal team, who have categorized Phyna's comments as false, defamatory, and damaging to her reputation and brand. The lawyers have demanded a public apology from Phyna and a retraction of all the statements made during the reunion.
