Renowned Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, known as Chef Dammy, is elated as she receives a generous sum of N1 million from a businessman.
After a viral video circulated on social media showing Chef Dammy buying roasted corn by the roadside, a wealthy businessman was moved by compassion and promised to gift her with N1 million.
The video, shared on Instagram, depicted the chef patiently waiting her turn as she stood by the roadside.
Impressed by her dedication, a Nigerian who recognized her captured the moment on video and shared it on the platform.
Despite facing criticism from some individuals, the compassionate businessman, known as Fekomi, was moved to assist Chef Dammy with the sum of N1 million.
He expressed his intentions by saying, "Tag her, let me send her a DM. N1 million for her. At least, you all can keep quiet now."
Contrary to skeptics' beliefs that the businessman was seeking attention, he proved them wrong by sharing photos of Chef Dammy holding a N1 million cheque.
Accompanying the photos, he advised netizens to refrain from criticizing the young chef, acknowledging her efforts to break new ground and suggesting that she should be encouraged instead.

"We all need motivation after chastising and reprimanding. Congratulations, Chef Dammy. At least, she made an attempt."
