A Nigerian man has found himself in a difficult situation as he discovered, after their traditional wedding, that his pregnant wife's genotype is not compatible with his.
The man, devastated by this revelation, revealed that his wife is already three months into the pregnancy.
He recounted his dilemma to a social media personality, Odo Godfrey Chikwere, explaining that they only found out about their incompatible genotype when they were preparing for their white wedding.
The priest who was supposed to officiate their wedding insisted on seeing a medical test report.
Upon conducting the test, they discovered that both of them are carriers of the AS genotype.
According to him, his mother advised him to go ahead with the wedding, hoping that God could change anything.
He wrote in part…
“She is AS, and I'm also AS. The priest said he won't consent to such a marriage. I have completed the traditional rites. This lady may face serious health risks if I leave her now. My mother said I should go ahead, believing that God can change anything.”
