An abroad based Nigerian man is in a dilemma as he seeks advice over strenuous wedding demands from his girlfriend whom he gives N1M monthly allowance.
A social media user identified as @Wizarab10 took to the X platform to share an anonymous message from an embattled Texas man.
According to the man, he started having issues with his girlfriend over the different churches they attend which caused their relationship to pause for a while.
However, after resuming their relationship, the demands became too much including an iPhone 15, a new car, completion of her father’s house and others.
Abroad based man laments wedding demands from girlfriend
“I’m confused, I met this girl in 2018 when I came back to Nigeria for the Christmas holiday. I attend Winners while she is a Witness. In 2021, she told me her family insists she must marry someone from her church, then we took a long break.
In 2022, we started talking again and continued dating. She assured me she would take the risk of us getting married. Since then, I have opened a boutique for her in Lagos. Currently, she uses an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and I have gotten her lots of hairs and everything she needs.
Now the issue I’m having is that I talked about starting our wedding preparations since I’m not getting any younger. She said she is confused and feels she will go with someone from her church or I have to convert to her church. For a month plus, I have been attending her church, and their teachings are weird—no celebration, nothing.”
The man further revealed that despite his efforts to meet her demands and make her happy, she has continued to ask for more. Recently, she requested an iPhone 15, a new car worth N15M, and the completion of her father’s house. This has left him feeling overwhelmed and unsure about the future of their relationship.
He concluded by asking social media users for advice on how to handle the situation, as he feels torn between his love for her and the increasing demands she places on him.
