A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to recount her harrowing experience dealing with her abusive mother-in-law.
The lady whose identity remains undisclosed took to TikTok to share her ordeal, detailing an altercation that occurred when her boyfriend’s mother physically assaulted [/b]her.
The altercation reportedly stemmed from the mother-in-law’s vehement disapproval of the relationship due to ethnic differences
According to the lady, she hails from Akwa Ibom, while her boyfriend is of Yoruba descent.
The lady went on to reveal how the mother-in-law slapped her as an expression of her disdain for the relationship.
In a bold and unexpected move, the lady retaliated by slapping her back, asserting her right to defend herself.
In her words;
“Eating as much as I can cause life didn’t end when my ex mum slapped me, and I returned the slap. All because she didn’t want her son to marry an Akwa-Ibom lady cause he is Yoruba I’ve left her son for her to marry.”
