A man, identified on Twitter as Dada Temitope, narrowly escaped a cutlass attack by a robber in Lagos on the morning of April 20th. He expressed gratitude for his life and wellbeing, as well as his quick thinking and survival skills that helped him avoid being severely injured.
In a video attached to his report, the shattered glass on the driver's side was evidence of the robbery attempt. The robber had apparently slashed at it with a cutlass, leaving a large gash. Dada was also thankful for his tinted windows, which he rolled up on the advice of Lagos State Governor, Jide Sanwo-Olu, as it prevented the robber from reaching him.
Despite the robbery attempt, Dada was able to drive away unharmed and even encountered a police checkpoint just minutes later. However, when he told the officers what had happened to him, they only expressed sympathy and did not take any further action. Dada ended his report with a word of caution for others to stay safe out there.
In summary, Dada Temitope survived a cutlass attack by a robber in Lagos, expressed gratitude for his life and wellbeing, and advised others to stay safe.
