A lawyer, simply identified as Egi Nupe, has sparked a debate by claiming that there is no difference between popular Nigerian artists Davido and Portable.
This statement was made in response to Davido’s outburst against the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Umar Abba, after the singer accused him of allegedly inciting chaos in the state. Davido had expressed his anger on Monday by calling out the police commissioner for his supposed directive to cause disorder. This callout followed an earlier statement by Governor Ademola Adeleke, who accused Minister Gboyega Oyetola of plotting to destabilize Osun State by attempting to reinstate sacked local council chairmen.
In his Instagram post, Davido shared a photo of the police commissioner, demanding that he respect the rule of law. His post included the caption: "Mr commissioner respect the rule of law!!! You are not madder or crazier than us !! Make we all kuru mad !! MEN MOUNT WALAI TO KRF!!! I will post u every day everywhere Mr man !!! Try me fucker.”
Reacting to Davido’s comments, Egi Nupe took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to voice his opinion, comparing Davido to controversial singer Portable.
