A young Nigerian student, Chidera John, who had achieved First Class honours in Biochemistry, tragically lost her life just a month after her father's funeral.
Chidera had recently celebrated an academic milestone, graduating with top honors in Biochemistry, and this achievement came only a week after she bid farewell to her late father.
Reports reveal that the 22-year-old student, Chidera, met with a fatal accident on October 14, 2023, which abruptly cut short her promising life.
The devastating news was shared by her colleague, Jerry Godsent, via Facebook. He expressed the profound sorrow of losing such a brilliant student and friend and shared cherished snapshots of Chidera celebrating her First Class honours on Facebook, a mere two weeks before the accident that claimed her life.
In his heartfelt post, Jerry Godsent lamented, "It’s been awhile since I felt this deep. Sad News: 😭😭😭 My Chidera John buried her father on 21 September 2023, graduated with first-class honours in Biochemistry on the 30th of September 2023, had an accident and died on the 14th of October 2023. Late Miss Chidera John from Abia State happens to be the only child. Your dad left and you also left. Who will be with mummy now 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 May Your Soul Rest In Peace!"
