A 24-year-old Oyinbo lady named Leni has become a focal point of attention for forsaking her life in Germany to live in the slums of Kenya with a 23-year-old Kenyan man, Vinn, whom she fell in love with.
Leni, who initially traveled to Kenya as part of an internship program and stayed in the Korokocho slum, eventually found herself residing in Kibera, the neighboring slum, with her newfound love.
Their love story began during Leni's first weekend in Kenya at a local dance performance in Korokocho. Vinn, a talented dancer, caught Leni's eye on stage, leading to an exchange of Instagram handles and the commencement of their relationship.
Vinn, reflecting on the challenges of introducing Leni to his humble living conditions in a small room without basic amenities, expressed surprise at her willingness to embrace such a lifestyle.
“Chase love not material things; it is the most important thing in the world,” Leni emphasized.
