A 23-year-old man from Ayedun, Kwara State, has been caught and exposed after allegedly attempting to use his sister’s 6-year-old son for a money ritual in Ekiti State.
The shocking incident came to light after the herbalist he approached chose to report him to the police instead of participating in the act.
According to reports, the young man, identified as Solomon, took the child from his sister and traveled to Ekiti State, where he sought the assistance of a well-known herbalist to carry out the ritual for wealth and prosperity.
However, rather than agreeing to perform the ritual, the herbalist immediately alerted the authorities, leading to the young man's arrest and public exposure.
A video currently circulating on X, formerly Twitter, captures the moment Solomon, with his hands tightly handcuffed behind his back, stood beside the young boy looking distressed as he was being confronted for his actions.
Further reports indicate that Solomon confessed to the crime, stating that his intention was to acquire wealth and later send the boy to school after using him for the ritual.
His disturbing statement has triggered widespread outrage, with many social media users expressing shock and disbelief over the increasing desperation for wealth among young people.
