Brighton have announced the signing of 19-year-old winger Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle United on a contract running until June 2029.
While the transfer terms remain undisclosed, Minteh joins Albion following a standout loan season with Eredivisie runners-up Feyenoord, where he scored ten goals and provided six assists in 27 league appearances.
His performance caught the eye in both domestic and European competitions.
Minteh began his European career with Danish side Odense BK in 2022, contributing four goals and six assists in 17 appearances.
Newcastle United signed him in June 2023, immediately loaning him to Feyenoord, where he made a total of 37 appearances across all competitions, including four in the Champions League, scoring once.
“Yankuba is a young talent that has attracted a lot of interest, so we’re delighted to welcome him to the club,” said Brighton’s technical director David Weir.
“He is an exciting attacking player with incredible speed. He had a very impressive campaign with Feyenoord, gaining experience in both the Champions League and Europa League.
“Now we will give him the time and support he needs to ensure that he settles in,” he added.
