Joao Cancelo, Portuguese football star, has expressed his feelings about losing a Champions League final to Chelsea, which was managed by Thomas Tuchel, the newly appointed manager of Bayern Munich. The Blues won the 2021 Champions League after Tuchel was appointed as their manager. Cancelo, who was a regular starter at Manchester City during that time, is hoping to create more positive memories with his new boss in 2023.
After helping Portugal win 4-0 against Liechtenstein in their opening game of Euro 2024 qualification, Cancelo spoke to Sport TV and said, "I've only found out now. I know I won't find Nagelsmann when I return to Munich. He wanted me at Bayern, I'd like to thank him. As for Tuchel, he made me lose a Champions League final, so I hope he will win it for me this year!"
