Atalanta is eager to secure Ademola Lookman’s future at Gewiss Stadium and is offering the Nigerian forward a new contract that includes a significant salary increase. The club is looking to keep him in Serie A until at least 2027.
Reports from Bergamo & Sports suggest that Atalanta is prepared to double Lookman’s current salary, offering him a substantial €3.5 million per year to fend off mounting interest from some of Europe's top clubs.
Lookman, 27, had reportedly agreed to personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning Ligue 1 champions, over the summer. However, Atalanta blocked the transfer to keep their star winger in Italy for the time being. His continued impressive performances in the ongoing 2024/25 season have only strengthened his market value and appeal.
Recently, Lookman finished 14th in the prestigious Ballon d’Or rankings and has also emerged as a key contender for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award. His remarkable form has not gone unnoticed by some of Europe’s elite football clubs, further escalating Atalanta’s desire to tie him down to a long-term deal.

With the proposed contract extension and salary hike, Atalanta hopes to keep their prized asset and prevent renewed interest from European giants next summer.
