Salah's current deal with Liverpool is set to end at the conclusion of the 2024/2025 season, but with just months left on the contract, no offer has been presented to him to extend his stay. His frustration was evident after his match-winning brace in Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over Southampton, where he acknowledged that it was nearly December, and he had not yet received any new terms from the club.

“I’m probably more out than in,” Salah stated following the game, hinting at his growing concern over the situation. Despite his uncertainty about the future, Salah emphasized his commitment to the current campaign. “I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well,” he continued, focusing on the team’s immediate goals.

The 32-year-old forward has been a standout player for Liverpool since joining in 2017, scoring 223 goals and providing 99 assists in 367 appearances, helping the team secure a Champions League title and a Premier League championship during his time at the club. Salah’s importance to the team is clear, and he remains a key player for Jürgen Klopp’s side, who are currently at the top of the Premier League standings.

However, the uncertainty surrounding his contract renewal comes amid persistent interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, with previous bids for Salah exceeding £150 million reportedly turned down by Liverpool. While Salah has a strong relationship with the club’s fans, the future of the Egyptian forward could ultimately be influenced by negotiations that have yet to take place.

“I love the fans, and they love me, but it’s not in my hands or theirs,” he added, further highlighting the stalemate that currently exists between him and the club. As the situation remains unresolved, Salah’s next move, whether it be a contract extension or a transfer away from Anfield, will be keenly watched by football fans worldwide.
