Patricio was left unconscious as his head hit the trailing leg of Coady.

The Portugal keeper was left flat out on the turf while medical staff attended to him and received oxygen.

He was eventually stretchered off and replaced by backup goalkeeper John Ruddy, with Wolves using a concussion substitution.

Patricio did not appear to move while lying on the pitch, but afterward, manager Nuno Espirito Santo said he was conscious.

“He’s conscious, he remembers what happened and is aware,” Espirito Santo said.
