Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly on the brink of becoming Liverpool’s next manager, according to reports from Sky Sports Germany.
The 39-year-old tactician has purportedly reached a verbal agreement to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
While Liverpool has yet to confirm any deal, negotiations with Sporting Lisbon are said to be pending.
However, Amorim is purportedly eager to join Liverpool and could potentially commit to a contract lasting until 2027.
Nevertheless, potential hurdles remain, including the negotiation of Amorim’s release clause, believed to be £25m.
Amorim’s tenure at Sporting Lisbon has been remarkable, leading the team to the top of the Portuguese league and securing the title in his first full season in charge.
