Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski’s home has been affected by severe flooding as heavy storms and heavy rain continue to batter Spain. The flooding situation has escalated significantly, with the Barcelona area being one of the major hit regions during this intense weather event.
Authorities have issued a red alert weather warning for the region, categorizing the situation as one of “extreme danger.” This has raised concerns among residents, prompting officials to advise them to avoid unnecessary travel amid the severe flash flooding that has already tragically claimed at least 217 lives across eastern Spain.
The flooding reached Lewandowski’s residence, with his wife, Anna, sharing footage on Instagram that showed ankle-deep water in their parking area. The videos also captured scenes of cars attempting to navigate through the flooded roads near their home, illustrating the severity of the situation. Anna’s posts highlighted not only the impact of the storm on their property but also the broader challenges facing the community during this crisis.
Despite the challenges posed by the storm, Barcelona’s recent La Liga match went on as scheduled. Lewandowski played the full 90 minutes in a convincing 3-1 victory over Espanyol, contributing to the team's success even amidst personal difficulties. Although he didn’t score in that match, Lewandowski has been in impressive form this season, having netted 17 goals and provided two assists in just 15 appearances across La Liga and the Champions League, showcasing his exceptional skill and determination as a top striker.
