Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has strongly criticized Marcus Rashford’s [/b]attitude, especially regarding his ongoing exclusion from the team. Scholes has called for the 27-year-old to be “banished” from the dressing room due to his recent behavior.
Rashford, who has not been part of the matchday squad since December 12, has expressed his desire for a “new challenge,” and has been left out of Ruben Amorim’s squads, except for one game where he remained an unused substitute.
Amorim has escalated the criticism of Rashford, recently suggesting he would rather have 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital on the bench instead of the forward, citing Rashford’s poor training habits as the reason for the exclusion.

During an appearance on Sky Bet’s The Overlap, Scholes criticized Rashford’s conduct, arguing that the England international has let down both his teammates and the club, especially younger players like Alejandro Garnacho. Scholes said, “He’s let a lot of people down with his attitude. At 27, he should be setting the standard for younger players.”
He added, “Instead, his behavior sends the wrong message. If he’s not training or living properly, he shouldn’t be in that dressing room influencing others.”
Scholes also shared an experience from his own playing career, reflecting on how Sir Alex Ferguson had once reprimanded him for a similar issue when he let his teammates down. The criticism of Rashford, according to Scholes, comes from a place of concern for the impact such behavior can have on the rest of the squad.
