The Super Eagles camp is buzzing with the arrival of 22 players gearing up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
On Monday, six players initially checked into the Four Points Hotel base, and the squad has now expanded with an additional 16 players, bringing the total to 22.
As per reports, the sole absentee is Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie, stepping in as a late replacement for the injured Maduka Okoye.
The team is scheduled to commence their training sessions at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo later on Tuesday evening.
Coach Jose Peseiro will lead the Super Eagles squad into their first qualifying match against Lesotho on Thursday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Following that, they are slated for an away fixture against Zimbabwe at the Huye Stadium in Butare on November 19.
