This decision was confirmed following a ruling by Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP).

The 25-year-old French forward, who transferred to Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, sought the payment of these amounts after his departure from PSG. However, instead of granting his request, the commission has ordered that mediation take place between Mbappé and his former club.

The dispute traces back to Mbappé’s contract renewal with PSG in 2022, where it was agreed that certain bonuses would be forfeited if he left the club on a free transfer.

Mbappé has argued that PSG still owes him the money, prompting his appeal to the LFP.

In response, PSG has expressed satisfaction with the ruling, emphasizing that Mbappé had previously agreed to waive certain financial benefits as part of his contract renewal.

The club has been advocating for mediation for several months and views this outcome as a significant victory.

Mbappé may still have the option to pursue the matter through an employment tribunal, though such a process could extend over two years, according to talkSPORT.

Alternatively, he could choose to drop the case entirely.

During his time at PSG, Mbappé achieved considerable success, securing six Ligue 1 titles and several domestic cups before moving to Real Madrid.
