According to a report by The Telegraph, the Magpies are confident in keeping hold of Isak and have no intention of selling him at this time. Newcastle is determined to retain their key player, despite the heightened interest surrounding his future at the club. The club’s management has previously used a similar strategy to successfully ward off Chelsea, who had explored the possibility of making a move for the in-form striker.

Since joining Newcastle, Isak has been in exceptional form, scoring 32 Premier League goals since the start of the 2023-24 season. His impressive performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, with Arsenal emerging as the frontrunners to secure his signature. The Gunners are reportedly searching for a prolific goalscorer to strengthen their attack, particularly with the injury-prone Gabriel Jesus currently leading their frontline.

However, Arsenal is not the only club interested in Isak. Other elite European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool, are also keeping a close eye on the situation. The speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool has added further intrigue to the situation, with some reports suggesting the club might pursue Isak as a potential replacement or partner for Salah in the future.

Despite the growing interest, Isak is currently under contract with Newcastle until 2028, leaving the club in a strong negotiating position. With no immediate pressure to sell, the Magpies are well-placed to retain their star striker for the foreseeable future. However, to secure Isak’s long-term future at St James’ Park, Newcastle are expected to open talks over a potential contract extension soon, which could include improved terms to reflect his value to the team.
