Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is set to make a return to the club for injury treatment, as confirmed by the Egyptian Football Association.
The decision follows Salah sustaining an injury during Egypt’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign. While he is anticipated to miss the next two games, there's a possibility of rejoining the national team for the tournament’s semi-finals if Egypt advances.
After further examinations, it was determined that Salah would return to England post Egypt’s final Group B match against Cape Verde.
The Egyptian FA stated, “After additional examinations were conducted on Mohamed Salah during the last hours, and after communication between the national team’s medical staff and his counterpart at Liverpool FC, it was decided that the player will return to England after the Cape Verde match tomorrow to complete his treatment, with the hope that he will join the national team in the semi-final of the AFCON if we qualify.”
