Manchester City held to a 1-1 draw by Everton at the Etihad, with Erling Haaland missing a crucial second-half penalty.
The defending champions have now managed just one win in their last 13 games across all competitions.
Pep Guardiola’s men looked to bounce back from their poor form, opening the scoring in the 14th minute through Bernardo Silva, whose deflected effort beat Everton’s Jordan Pickford.
City dominated early, with Josko Gvardiol hitting the post and Silva missing another golden chance to double the lead.
However, Everton capitalized on a defensive error. Manuel Akanji’s failed clearance fell to Iliman Ndiaye, who rifled a shot past Stefan Ortega to level the score.
The goal drained City’s confidence, leaving them unsettled heading into halftime.
After the break, City pushed for a winner, creating several chances.
Brazilian winger Savinho won a penalty after being fouled by Vitaly Mykolenko, but Haaland’s weak spot-kick was saved by Pickford.
Although Haaland scored from the rebound, he was flagged offside, wasting a crucial opportunity to win the encounter which ended one goal at piece.
