Inter Milan secured their 20th Serie A title after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against city rivals AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.
This victory not only crowns Inter as champions of Italy for the 2023/24 season but also earns them the right to adorn their jersey with two stars, a privilege reserved for teams with ten or more Serie A titles.
Inter clinched the title by defeating Milan 2-1 in the derby clash.
This significant achievement also marks Simone Inzaghi’s first Serie A title as a coach, adding to his previous successes in the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana with both Inter and Lazio.
Inter’s remarkable form this season saw them maintain the top spot for the majority of the campaign, with just one brief spell in second place following a draw with Bologna in Week 8.
Although they fell short of matching Juventus’s record of 102 Serie A points, Inter’s campaign was nonetheless impressive, boasting 27 wins, five draws, and only one defeat.
Their sole loss came at the hands of Sassuolo in September last year.
