Pep Guardiola has revealed he will not manage another club after his time at Manchester City.
Speaking on chef Dani Garcia’s YouTube channel, the 53-year-old explained that while he remains focused on his current duties, he has no intention of starting fresh elsewhere when his tenure at City concludes.
“I’m not going to manage another team,” Guardiola said. “The thought of starting somewhere else, the whole process of training, no, no, no! Maybe a national team, but that’s different. I think stopping would do me good.”
Guardiola, who has been at Manchester City since 2016, extended his contract until 2027. Under his management, City has enjoyed extraordinary success, securing 18 trophies, including four consecutive Premier League titles, and achieving the historic treble in the past two seasons with a remarkable Champions League victory. His tenure at the club has cemented his legacy as one of the most successful managers in football. Despite this success, the Spaniard has confirmed that he will not seek out new challenges with another club after his time with City, signaling a possible end to his club managerial career.

While Guardiola seems content to stay with Manchester City for the foreseeable future, he did hint at a potential future in international football or possibly taking a complete break from the game entirely after his time at the club. He mentioned that managing a national team would be a different challenge, but he is not interested in starting over at a club again.
Despite his long-term commitment to City, Guardiola is currently focused on improving the team's form, as they have faced some challenges in recent weeks. The defending Premier League champions have won just once in their last nine matches across all competitions, which has raised concerns among fans and pundits alike. As City prepares for their crucial Champions League clash with Juventus, followed by a derby against rivals Manchester United, Guardiola has called on his players to return to the basics of their game.
“It’s about doing the simple things better. The way we want to play won’t change,” Guardiola stated, emphasizing the importance of refining their approach to regain consistency. He remains focused on turning things around and ensuring City continues to compete at the highest level, despite recent setbacks.
With Guardiola's future seemingly set at Manchester City until 2027, all eyes will be on the manager as he continues to shape the club's legacy and navigate through the challenges of the current season. The question of his future beyond that remains uncertain, but for now, he is fully invested in his current role with the Premier League giants.
