The 28-year-old center-back's misplaced pass at the edge of the box was intercepted by Youssef En-Nesyri, who opened the scoring in the eighth minute of the game. Despite the costly error, Ten Hag believes that Maguire is still an essential player for the team, particularly as he is the captain who motivates and leads the team.
