Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag has criticized his players over their performance against Tottenham on Thursday evening.
Manchester United went into halftime with a two-goal lead over Tottenham who were defeated 6-1 days ago by Newcastle. The London-based club however fought back and were able to get a 2-2 draw from the match.
Lashing out at his players after the match, Ten Hag said United “weren’t brilliant in the first half” despite going two goals up before adding, “you could see it coming, I had the subs ready but it was too late.”
He added;
“We were not that good over 90 minutes. We didn’t block the crosses or the shots, we didn’t squeeze out. It was so easy for them to score.”
Manchester United will now be facing European football contenders Aston Villa on Sunday, April 30.
