Crystal Palace has reportedly joined the race to secure the services of Kelechi Iheanacho, the striker from Leicester City, with plans for a free transfer at the conclusion of this season.
The South London club, Palace, is set to compete with West Ham and Brentford in the quest to sign the Nigerian sensation.
Iheanacho, who is 27 years old, initially joined Leicester, now competing in the Championship, in 2017 after departing Manchester City. He has since accumulated over 200 appearances for the club.
However, the contract situation is becoming increasingly complex as his current contract is set to expire next summer, and negotiations for an extension have hit a roadblock.

It's worth noting that he wouldn't be the first player to depart the club following their relegation; after Leicester City's relegation, Tottenham secured the signing of Maddison, who has since impressed while playing for Ange Postecoglou's side.
