Arsenal have rejected an approach from Ajax for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, Gistreel Sports understands.
The Dutch giants reportedly proposed an initial loan deal for the 25-year-old, who has seen his playing time reduced since the arrival of David Raya from Brentford.
Ramsdale joined Arsenal in 2021 for £30 million from Sheffield United, becoming the club’s most expensive goalkeeper at the time.
Over his tenure, he has made 89 appearances across all competitions and played a key role in Arsenal’s Community Shield victory in 2023.

However, his position at the club has come under threat, with Raya now firmly established as the Gunners’ first-choice keeper following his permanent move in 2024.
Despite making just six Premier League appearances last season and missing out on Arsenal’s recent pre-season friendlies, Ramsdale remains a sought-after player.
Ajax, 36-time Eredivisie champions, have expressed strong interest, aiming to bolster their squad with the experienced shot-stopper.
However, Arsenal are not interested in a loan arrangement for now, preferring to retain their goalkeeper at least until a more suitable offer is received.
