Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Federico Valverde will all be available for selection in Sunday’s highly anticipated Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona.
The three key players had sustained minor injuries during Real Madrid’s semi-final victory over Mallorca but have since made a full recovery and are now fit for the crucial El Clasico clash. Ancelotti, speaking to the media on Saturday, expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for the match, highlighting the players’ physical condition ahead of the final.
“We arrive at the match in good shape, with a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of desire,” Ancelotti stated. “The problems we had against Mallorca have been resolved, and all the players are available for selection. Bellingham is fine; he has recovered well.”
Ancelotti went on to stress the importance of Bellingham’s form, noting the significant impact the English midfielder has had on the team’s performance this season. “It’s very important because he has been on a good run. He is a player who at this moment has made the difference for us.”
The Real Madrid coach also reflected on the unpredictable nature of recent El Clasico encounters, emphasizing the importance of maintaining defensive solidity in Sunday’s final. “In El Clasico, quality tends to prevail over the balance of the team, and that’s one of the reasons why the last Clasicos have been a little crazier,” he remarked. “It is an important aspect in tomorrow’s game, that of the defence. If you defend well, there is a better chance of winning.”
Real Madrid, who won the Spanish Super Cup last year with an impressive 4-1 victory over Barcelona, are aiming to secure their third trophy of the season when they face their bitter rivals in Riyadh.
