Nigeria’s Super Eagles have announced a 23-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches, with star forward Victor Osimhen returning to the lineup. The Nigerian team, managed by Augustine Eguavoen, will face off against Benin Republic and Rwanda as they aim to secure their spot in the AFCON 2025 tournament.
The Super Eagles will begin their training camp in Abidjan on Monday, where they’ll prepare for the first qualifying game against Benin Republic. The match is scheduled to take place at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan next Thursday.
Following the clash with Benin, the Super Eagles are set to play their second qualifying match against the Amavubi of Rwanda. This game will be held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Monday, November 18.
A single point from their matchup with Benin Republic will be enough for the Super Eagles to confirm their qualification for AFCON 2025, as they currently lead Group D with 10 points from four games, sitting four points above Benin, who are their nearest competitors.
