Juventus officially announced the contract extension through their online platforms, expressing their excitement to continue the journey with Rabiot. In a statement released on the club's website, Juventus stated, "The story continues – after all there are still many roads to travel side by side, and we are ready to keep running towards our goals together. Congratulations, Adrien!"

Since joining Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, the 28-year-old midfielder has achieved success with the club, winning three trophies, including the 2019-20 Serie A title, the 2020 Supercoppa Italiana, and the 2020-21 Coppa Italia. Rabiot has become a key figure in the Juventus squad, having made 177 appearances for the club, equalling the record of veteran Juan Cuadrado.

During the previous season, Rabiot demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess by netting eight goals in 32 Serie A appearances from the midfield, marking his best season in terms of goal contributions.

Manchester United's pursuit of Rabiot was hindered last summer when an agreement over personal terms couldn't be reached, leading to the collapse of the deal. As Rabiot commits to another year in Serie A, Manchester United may shift their attention to Brighton and Hove Albion's Moises Caicedo as an alternative. The 21-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder had expressed his desire to leave his current club in January, although a transfer did not materialize. United may be willing to meet Brighton's £80 million valuation for Caicedo, considering his potential.

The developments surrounding Rabiot's contract extension and Manchester United's potential alternative targets highlight the dynamic nature of the transfer market and the continuous pursuit of clubs to strengthen their squads with talented players.
