The former governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, expressed his belief that President Bola Tinubu will not abandon him and Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, in his government. Umahi emphasized Tinubu's loyalty and stated that despite El-Rufai's recent controversial comments regarding Christianity, he would still play a significant role in Tinubu's government. Umahi, who is now a Senator-elect, further emphasized that President Tinubu would not distance himself from individuals who contributed to his electoral victory, including Umahi and El-Rufai. Umahi pointed out Tinubu's history of not betraying anyone and assured that his good friend, El-Rufai, would have a major role in the government. While Umahi acknowledged that he was not speaking on behalf of President Tinubu, he believed that based on Tinubu's character, he would include loyal allies like El-Rufai in his administration. The statements were made during an interview with Arise Television in Abuja, where Umahi expressed his confidence in Tinubu's decision-making.
