President Bola Tinubu arrived in Lagos state on Tuesday after concluding his personal visit to the United Kingdom following his participation in the New Global Financing Pact in France. Upon his arrival, Tinubu was warmly received by Governor Babatunde Sanwo-Olu, his deputy Femi Hamzat, along with top government and security officials. The residents of Lagos, who eagerly awaited his return, also greeted him with jubilation at the airport. Tinubu's visit to the UK and his attendance at the summit provided an opportunity for him to engage with world leaders and discuss important matters concerning Nigeria, particularly in light of recent developments such as the removal of fuel subsidy and the streamlining of dual exchange rates. Notably, this marks Tinubu's first visit to Lagos as president, and during his stay, he is expected to partake in the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration and hold meetings with key stakeholders in the state. Furthermore, several state governors, members of the state and national assembly, as well as business associates of the president, are anticipated to pay courtesy visits during his time in Lagos.
