President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has welcomed the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja on Wednesday morning for an official meeting. This event follows Steinmeier's arrival in Abuja on Tuesday evening, where he was received ahead of their scheduled discussions.
It was previously announced by the German Embassy in a statement issued on Monday that President Steinmeier would engage in talks with President Tinubu and Dr. Alieu Touray, the President of the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). These important discussions are expected to address key regional and international issues.
Following his time in Abuja, Steinmeier is scheduled to visit Lagos, where he will meet with business representatives to explore opportunities for further cooperation. His visit will also include a tour of a start-up hub to witness Nigeria’s growing entrepreneurial landscape. Additionally, Steinmeier plans to meet with key cultural figures such as Dr. Nike Okundaye and Prof. Wole Soyinka to discuss the country's rich cultural heritage and civil society initiatives.
