Renowned preacher and founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has given a stern admonition to his congregation, advising them against collecting money from senior pastors as it could potentially reduce their blessings and hinder financial prosperity.
Pastor Ibiyeomie, while addressing his congregation in a video, explained that receiving financial aid from senior men of God goes against biblical principles and is not in alignment with scriptural teachings. He emphasized that such actions could diminish the divine blessings that one might otherwise receive by sowing into the lives of spiritual mentors.

During his sermon, Pastor Ibiyeomie stressed the importance of giving financially to senior ministers of God instead of seeking or accepting financial assistance from them. He pointed out that sowing into their lives paves the way for greater blessings and spiritual upliftment, allowing individuals to access divine grace and prosperity.
He candidly shared his personal experiences, revealing how he has adhered strictly to this principle in his own life. Ibiyeomie noted that despite facing challenges, he has never requested financial help from his spiritual father, Bishop David Oyedepo, and instead chooses to honor him by sowing into his life.
In his own words, he said …
“May I tell you one raw truth? It may be hard, but never collect money from a senior man of God. You are reducing your blessing. I have never collected a dime from Bishop Oyedepo, not because challenges have not come, but because that’s not how it works. It’s not scriptural.”
Pastor Ibiyeomie went on to elaborate further, explaining that giving to senior ministers draws virtue and grace that can propel individuals to their next level of prosperity. He emphasized that this principle applies universally, regardless of one’s level of financial need, and that it is a key to unlocking divine favor.
He added …
“There are senior men to me today, and I can sow into their lives. But I will not go and say, ‘Pastor Femi, can you please help me?’ It’s not scriptural. Don’t collect money from a senior man; you are reducing your prosperity. Sow into the senior man to draw virtue for the next level.”
Pastor David Ibiyeomie concluded by urging his congregation to embrace this biblical principle and trust in God’s provisions as they honor and support their spiritual leaders through giving.
