Dr. Kayode Ajulo (SAN), the Attorney General of Ondo State, publicly voiced his strong support for the re-election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, stating that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is expected to achieve a sweeping victory across all 18 Local Government Areas in the upcoming Ondo gubernatorial election. Ajulo emphasized that the APC’s leadership would ensure the continued progress and development of the state, if entrusted with another term in office.

In a statement released in Lagos on Monday, Ajulo expressed his confidence in APC's prospects in the governorship race, scheduled for September 16, asserting that the election would result in an overwhelming victory for the party. His message, titled “Nov. 16 is a LUCKY Day,” underscored that the 2024 Ondo gubernatorial race was not just a political competition but an opportunity to reaffirm the people’s trust in a leadership that has delivered stability, progress, and vision for the future.

Ajulo passionately stated, “Ondo2024: It’s going to be 18-0; Ondo’s Future is Lucky.” He reflected on his own life experiences, noting that his age and years of public service have deepened his understanding of leadership and the challenges and triumphs that come with it. “With the wisdom that flows from my modest age and a lifetime of service, I stand today not as a mere observer but as a dedicated advocate for Ondo state’s progress,” he said.

Ajulo added that his unique perspective and life journey have given him a profound insight into Ondo’s socio-political landscape. He highlighted that this knowledge allows him to approach the election with a deep sense of conviction rather than political maneuvering. Ajulo described the upcoming election as not simply a contest but a “certainty,” a testament to the people’s collective desire for continuity, stability, and advancement under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership.

The Attorney General expressed confidence that APC, under Aiyedatiwa’s guidance, would achieve a decisive victory across all 18 local government areas, a prediction he grounded in what he saw as the people’s clear support for the current administration. He pointed out that Aiyedatiwa’s leadership has “ignited a fire of hope” among Ondo’s citizens, who seek a brighter future under his governance. “This is not mere optimism but a clear recognition of the collective will of the people who seek continuity, stability, and progress,” he added.

Ajulo also commented on the state of the opposition, which he described as struggling to maintain relevance amidst internal turmoil and lack of direction. He claimed that the opposition candidate is hampered by past transgressions and faces “apparent disqualification that comes with criminal liabilities,” which has led to a mass exodus of his supporters to the APC. Ajulo further contended that defections from the PDP underscore a broader dissatisfaction with the party, suggesting that its foundation has effectively crumbled.

The Attorney General framed the election as a crucial decision for the people of Ondo, not just in choosing a leader, but in endorsing the vision of progress, integrity, and unity. He urged Ondo’s sons and daughters to focus on what is at stake and to rally behind Aiyedatiwa, saying, “This victory will not only belong to the APC but to all who believe in the promise of a better Ondo.”

Ajulo concluded with a call for courage, unity, and a collective belief in Ondo’s future. “Let us march forward with courage, unity, and the unwavering belief that Ondo’s best days lie ahead,” he said, expressing his hope that the people of Ondo would choose the continuity of Aiyedatiwa’s leadership as a path toward a brighter future.
