[p]On April 11, the Zamfara State Police Command rescued nine individuals who were kidnapped from Kucheri in Tsafe Local Government of Zamfara. The command's spokesman, CSP Muhammad Shehu, spoke to journalists in Gusau and confirmed that the nine kidnap victims, comprising of seven females and two males, were rescued on Thursday. According to him, the rescue operation was successful due to credible information obtained from a good samaritan. The victims were given medical attention at the police clinic in Gusau, debriefed by police detectives, and subsequently reunited with their families. CSP Muhammad Shehu reassured the general public that the command is committed to its fight against banditry and other criminal activities in the state.
