The federal government has proposed an ambitious ₦47.9 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year. This comprehensive financial plan incorporates ₦9.22 trillion in new borrowings to address critical areas of development and fiscal needs. The proposal received unanimous approval during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
In preparation for this critical event, the National Assembly chamber has undergone a rigorous and detailed inspection process. All facilities within the chamber are being assessed to ensure optimal functionality. Deputy Clerk Kamoru Ogunlana has personally supervised the inspection and testing of sound systems, microphones, and audio-visual equipment.
