Mr Nigeria101, who embarked on an ambitious mission to trek from Ibadan to Abuja on December 1, 2024, to meet President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has made an emotional appeal for assistance after finding himself stranded.
The young man, whose journey was intended as a demonstration of loyalty to President Tinubu and a platform to deliver a heartfelt letter representing the voices of Nigerian youths, is now struggling to continue his journey due to lack of support.
Mr Nigeria101 claims to have covered over 600 kilometres on foot, yet his efforts appear to have gone largely unnoticed by both the government and the general public.
In a series of videos shared on his TikTok account, the young man has expressed his frustration and desperation, drawing significant attention to his plight. He narrated his ordeal, lamenting the lack of acknowledgment and assistance:
“Nigerians, please come to my aid. I need your support. Have mercy on me. I have been on this trekking mission since December 1st last year from Ibadan to Abuja to meet Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to read out this message to him that Nigerians are suffering.
“Nobody wants to attend to me; nobody wants to pay attention to me. I have trekked to the extent that my spirit has almost left my body.”
Despite the challenges, Mr Nigeria101 has vowed to press on with his mission, stating that he will continue wandering and protesting along his route to Abuja until his demands are acknowledged or until he succumbs to the hardships he is facing. His determination highlights his dedication to amplifying the struggles of ordinary Nigerians.
The letter he intends to deliver to the president reportedly addresses the ongoing economic and social hardships experienced by Nigerian youths, emphasizing the urgency of government intervention to improve their lives.
The dire situation has sparked reactions on social media, with many Nigerians sympathizing with his plight and calling for immediate attention to his efforts.
