A Nigerian man has been left devastated after losing his pregnant wife and unborn children due to a shocking medical negligence incident in Owerri. Reports claim that the doctor responsible for the procedure allegedly relied on a YouTube video to carry out a critical surgery on the woman.
The heartbreaking story was shared in a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), where it was revealed that the matter has now been reported to the police for further investigation.
According to the grieving husband, he had placed his trust in the medical team, only to later discover that they were unprepared and incompetent. He recalled how, before the procedure began, the doctor attempted to contact another individual to assist in the surgery.
However, what was even more shocking was that upon entering the operating room, the medical team allegedly resorted to watching instructional YouTube videos to figure out how to perform the surgery.
In his words, “In the operating room, I saw them pressing their phones, watching YouTube to learn how to perform the surgery.” Unfortunately, despite their desperate attempts, both his wife and unborn baby did not survive the operation.
The tragic incident has since sparked outrage across social media, with many Nigerians calling for justice and questioning the state of medical practice in the country. Many users took to the comment section to express their anger, disbelief, and sympathy for the grieving husband.
