Officials from LASTMA in Lagos are seeking forgiveness from residents for past mistreatment. This request comes before the gubernatorial election on March 18th.
A video circulating on social media shows LASTMA officials dancing and singing a song that translates to "whoever we may have offended, please forgive us." Some civil servants claimed they were threatened with job loss if they did not support the incumbent governor's re-election, but this was debunked by the governor's media aide on social media.
This comes ahead of the March 18 election where Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), will compete for the governorship of Lagos against Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, Funso Doherty of the Africa Democratic Congress, Abdulazeez Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party, and 11 others.

Earlier, some civil servants in Lagos claimed that they were threatened with job loss if they fail to support the incumbent governor’s re-election. However, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s media aide, Gboyega Akosile, debunked this on social media.
