Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Advisor of the Board, made this announcement in Abuja on Tuesday.

Benjamin remarked that the Board had proceeded with the screening of over 64,000 withheld results due to instances of examination misconduct.

He also mentioned that the Board is currently addressing cases of unverified candidates and will soon provide a resolution.

Furthermore, Benjamin addressed the issue of fallacious publications alleging that an unknown candidate, who did not participate in the Board’s 2024 UTME, obtained scores.

Describing this as fake and malicious, he urged the public to disregard such publications, emphasizing the lack of details for proper verification.

“The Board is not surprised as this is the season of mischief makers, who would want to deceive gullible candidates," he added.

Benjamin noted that in investigating some of these allegations, the Board discovered that some mischief makers copy results sent to other candidates and then edit the details to parade as emanating from the Board.

He challenged anyone with such claims to prove them wrong by providing details of the alleged claims and the phone numbers with which such results were conveyed.

He also emphasized the Board's commitment to protecting the integrity of its systems against malicious actors, stating that more features like registration numbers would be added to the existing UTME result checking process to make it more secure.

He warned candidates to securely keep their details, noting that associating with mischievous elements could lead to being treated as collaborators.

Regarding the method of checking the 2024 UTME results, he reiterated that it remains sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 and not through any other process.

He emphasized that the results at the moment are not available on the Board’s website.
