Prior to the celebration of this year’s Easter, the Federal Government of Nigeria, through the office of The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has declared Friday April 10 and Monday April 13 as public holidays.
The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, however made the announced and also urged Christians to show tolerance, love, peace and compassion which are the characteristics of Jesus.
The Minister seized th opportunity, to call on Christians, to as well pray for Nigeria and for the solution against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
Calling for support from the government in the fight against COVID-19, the minister urged people to keep to the guidelines given by the Federal Government which includes sanitization, social distancing etc.
He concluded by assuring Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari, will continue with palliative measures to cushion the effect of the disease in Nigeria.
