Ola Olukoyede, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has expressed profound commendation for President Bola Tinubu, acknowledging his bold, visionary, and inspirational leadership in driving Nigeria's anti-corruption agenda.

He noted that these accomplishments were only possible because of the President's determination to root out corruption and financial crimes from the nation.
Reflecting on the deeper meaning of the Christmas season, Olukoyede highlighted its symbolic values—light, joy, hope, truth, and liberty. He stated that these principles not only define the essence of the season but also serve as a moral compass for integrity and the pursuit of a corruption-free society. He emphasized that these values should guide Nigerians in their collective quest to build a better nation.
In his statement, Olukoyede said: “I deeply believe in our nation’s potential for growth and development. The Christmas season provides an opportunity to embrace these possibilities. If we adopt the values of light, joy, hope, truth, and liberty, we can build a Nigeria free of corruption and financial crimes. Together, we can make Nigeria greater.”
He further praised President Tinubu’s visible and firm stance against corruption, which has significantly advanced the EFCC’s progress. “Nigerians can clearly see that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is resolute in addressing corrupt practices. The achievements of the EFCC would not have been possible without his active support and courage, which we deeply appreciate,” Olukoyede reiterated.
The EFCC Chairman also extended his appreciation to the Judiciary, commending its professionalism, integrity, and dedication. He described the Judiciary as a critical partner in the commission’s anti-corruption fight and emphasized the need for it to continue on its path of justice and equity, which he believes is crucial for Nigeria’s development.
Olukoyede did not forget the vital contributions of other key stakeholders, including the media, civil society organizations, and Nigerians at large. He praised their unwavering engagement and support, which he said has significantly bolstered the EFCC’s efforts in combating financial crimes.
Looking toward the future, he expressed optimism about even greater strides in the fight against corruption. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among all stakeholders, noting that unity and shared commitment are essential to achieving a more transparent and accountable Nigeria.
