A youth corps member has expressed his frustration after receiving just ₦3,600 from the Federal Government as a transportation allowance.
The corps member, who took to social media to voice his dissatisfaction, humorously pleaded with GIG Motors, a popular transport service provider, to accept the ₦3,600 as payment for his journey back to Jos, Plateau State, after completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) assignment.
In his post shared on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed disbelief at the amount, questioning how he was supposed to cover his travel expenses with such a small sum. To further highlight his frustration, the youth corps member included a screenshot showing the payment of ₦3,600, along with his humorous plea for assistance from GIG Motors. He wrote, “The Federal Government of Nigeria has sent me transport fare to head back home after my NYSC. Dear @GIGMobility, I hope you can accept this and take me back to Jos, Plateau State, from the Southwest.”
