National Hospital Abuja has issued an appeal to the general public for assistance in identifying a middle-aged man currently receiving treatment in its Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The unidentified patient was admitted on December 21, 2024, after being involved in a road traffic accident.
According to a statement shared on Sunday via X by the hospital’s spokesperson, Dr. Tayo Haastrup, the accident occurred along Jabi Express Road. The victim was brought to the hospital unconscious by a good Samaritan, who acted swiftly to ensure the man received immediate medical attention.
Since his arrival, the medical team at National Hospital Abuja has been providing the man with the best possible care. Despite their efforts, the hospital emphasized the urgency of locating his family or loved ones to aid in his recovery and provide him with the necessary emotional and social support during this challenging time.
In their plea, the hospital stated, “The management of the hospital is appealing to any member of the public whose relative has been missing since the mentioned date to visit the Trauma ICU of the National Hospital Abuja for identification and further action.” The statement highlighted the critical need for the man's family to come forward as soon as possible.
The unidentified man remains in stable condition, but without any means of identifying him, the hospital continues to rely on the support of the public to help reunite him with his family.
