The arrest was confirmed by the Coordinator of the Joint Media Coordination Centre, Lt. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, in a statement released on Sunday in Gusau, Zamfara State.

According to the statement, Ahadu was found to be in possession of a significant quantity of ammunition, including 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and six magazines, which were intended for delivery to the camp of notorious terrorist leader Bello Turji.

The arrest was made possible after intelligence reports indicated the movement of terrorist logistics along the road from Kware to Badarawa in Shinkafi Local Government Area. In response to this, the troops set up a roadblock on the identified route, leading to the successful capture of both Ahadu and Husaini. They are now under investigation by the appropriate authorities to further uncover their links and activities.

The statement emphasized the ongoing commitment of the troops to dismantling terrorist networks and preventing the illegal movement of arms and ammunition within the region. The authorities also called for continued public support, urging citizens to provide reliable information that could help in the capture of wanted terrorists and their collaborators.

In conclusion, the statement expressed appreciation for the local support received, which was critical in achieving the success of the operation and advancing the fight against terrorism in the region.
