The well enchanted song serves as Thandiswa's latest entry this year following previously released songs.

The song serves as the 9th track off the 11 tracks body of work Project, "Sankofa".

In conclusion, the song "children of the soil" was produced by talented music producer, Nduduzo Makhathini.
