Information gathered by JustNaija.com indicates that the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, has issued a directive to citizens especially landlords, in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
President Yoweri Museveni, has declared that no landlord or landlady should accommodate new tenants for the next three months as a measure to prevent the contraction and spread of COVID-19. This information was confirmed in a statement released by the Ministry of Works and Housing.
According to the Ministry, the Coronavirus has caused severe damages to the economy and in curbing the devastating menace, workers are advised to stay home. He concluded that as a matter of urgency, all house owners are warned not to collect rent money from their tenants for the next 12 weeks.
